Enviro-Safe Resource Recovery (Enviro-Safe) is a fully licensed hazardous waste treatment, storage, and recycling/disposal facility (TSDF). As leaders in environmental sustainability programs and waste management solutions, we are currently seeking an individual looking for a change and wants to be part of a fast-growing company with opportunities for advancement. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in environmental, health and safety, with a broad perspective and knowledge within the various disciplines of environmental and health and safety management. We desire an experienced candidate with strong organizational skills, as well as, exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental studies, occupational health and safety, or a related discipline.
- 2 plus years of relevant experience in consulting or industry.
- Experience with evaluating/maintaining EHS regulatory compliance in industrial settings.
- Working knowledge and experience with state and federal regulatory agencies, regulations and guidelines.
- Strong communication, problem solving and relationship building skills.
- Highly capable self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficiency with business writing.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide expert compliance program support internally and for our clients including developing procedures and permits, preparing and submitting periodic regulatory reports, and preparing and delivering EHS training programs.
- Conduct annual reporting to governmental agencies as required by the facility.
- Prepare and implement health, safety, environmental and transportation programs as applicable to the operation of the facility.
- Amend permits issued by governmental agencies to operate the facility.
- Perform EHS compliance audits in a variety of settings.
- Prepare spill prevention, control, and countermeasure plans; stormwater pollution prevention plans; hazardous waste management plans, and other environmental plans, as required.
- Prepare health and safety plans applicable to the occupational health and safety administration.
- Prepare written and verbal technical reports, including documentation of audits and field investigations, regulatory research, evaluation of findings, and data management and interpretation.
- Prepare and conduct environmental, safety and health training.
- Manage tasks and projects according to client-approved scopes of work and deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget.
- Assist to manage and develop client relationships for regulatory and compliance support.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
