CDL Class A HAZMAT / Tank Truck

In this role, you'll make a difference at this growing company and not looked upon as a number. This position is an extension of our customer service program, integral part of our transportation team and overall part of our business success.
This position will be responsible for safely transporting bulk liquid materials from customers to the appropriate receiving facility. A new 2019 International LT 625 tractor trailer will be assigned to the driver. Primary daily tasks include transporting materials as directed, completion and/or review of manifest, bill-of-ladings or other shipping paperwork associated with the load for accuracy prior to transportation and operating the vehicle in accordance to regulations set forth by the DOT, EPA and State. Support effective communication with all departments within the organization where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the organization. Perform related or other duties as assigned.
Strong candidates will have a clean driving record, experience operating a vacuum tanker, working knowledge of DOT/RCRA regulations, and good communication and organizational skills. This position would be both for local runs and over the road locations within the Midwest region. Overnight travel typically would be limited to 2 nights per week.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess a valid Class A CDL with combined hazmat/tanker endorsements and current DOT physical certification (other endorsements a plus).
  • A minimum of 2-years Class A driving experience.
  • Must have an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable DOT, EPA and State regulations as well as required licenses and permits.
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must be able to accurately transfer written and verbal information and enter data into existing computer system.
