EPA e-Manifest Final Rule Requirement for Small and Large Quantity Generators

EPA published the e-Manifest final rule on July 26, 2024, that impacts small and large quantity generators regarding manifest regulations for shipments of hazardous waste and polychlorinated biphenyls that are transported for treatment, storage, and disposal.

Enviro-Safe Resource Recovery is your environmental partner committed to support you and your company’s environmental compliance regarding the e-Manifest requirement for your shipments of hazardous waste.

Register by January 22, 2025

Small and large quantity generators are required to register for e-Manifest by January 22, 2025. Once registered you are required to maintain an account with Site Manager or e-Manifest Certifier permissions to meet the new regulatory changes.

EPA recommends requesting Site Manager access for your EPA ID. A Site Manager is a special permission to view, edit, create, sign and correct manifests and manifest-related reports. Site Managers also administer permissions for other users in their organization and may also administer the ID and Key for using the Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).

Very Small Quantity Generators are not required to register.

Benefits of the e-Manifest System

All generators can obtain their final signed manifest copies via the EPA's e-Manifest system. You no longer need to request this information from Enviro-Safe. Entities can correct manifest data errors. Additional benefits of the e-Manifest system can be viewed here at the EPA website.
